For a flawless DIY UV/LED Gel Nail Polish application at home, begin by completing your essential nail prep. Gently push back your cuticles, file and buff your nails, and wipe away the buffing dust using a Lint Free Wipe soaked in Gel Nail Polish Remover. We recommend taking every effort to protect your skin by applying sunblock about 30 minutes before starting your mani.

Once your prep is complete, it’s time to apply the Gel Nail Polish. Start with a Base Coat layer, followed by an optional Builder Gel layer, 2-3 layers of Colour Coat, and finally a Top Coat layer. Each layer of Nail Gel cures in just 60 seconds under the Gelous UV/LED Lamp. Need to know how to remove Gel Nail Polish? Start by lightly buffing the nail surface with your Gelous Nail File to remove the shiny Top Coat. Then, cover each nail with a Lint Free Wipe soaked in Gel Nail Polish Remover, clipping in place with the Nail Polish Removal Clips. After letting this sit for 15 minutes, gently remove the polish with your Orangewood Cuticle Sticks. To finish, apply Blueberry or Osmanthus Cuticle Oil around your nails and rub it into your skin to nourish and moisturise.

UV Nail Polish contains ingredients that react to the UV rays emitted by the UV/LED Gel Nail Lamp. This process, known as ‘curing’, transforms the liquid gel into a hard coating in just 60 seconds under the spacious Gelous UV/LED Gel Nail Lamp. This light contains 30 premium dual-wave LEDs that last up to 50,000 hours and operates at 48W to dry gel polish quickly, efficiently and safely.

After curing, your Gelous Base Coat and Gelous Colour Coat layers will remain slightly tacky to allow subsequent layers to adhere. Unlike your Base Coat and Colour Coat, your Top Coat layer will become hard, dry, and perfectly cured once you’ve placed your nails under the Gel Nail Lamp for 60 seconds.

Gelous Gel Nail Polish and the Gelous UV/LED Gel Nail Lamp are designed to be totally compatible, with the UV LED Gel Nail Lamp operating at 365-405nm and the Gel Polish specially formulated to cure within this wavelength to ensure a perfect finish every time.
